What is Dr Barbara Louw’s worldview?
In this practice, we adhere to a Christian worldview. From this point of view, a Christ-follower needs to account for the way we interact with and assess the world in which we live. Worldviews serve the function of spectacles, helping a person to focus on the world around him in a meaningful way. Christianity does not belong to any specific grouping, because the gospel transcends language, denominations, time, culture, race and nationality.
The gospel message is uncomplicated and clear and should be accepted with childlike faith. However, every believer has a responsibility to be a disciple of Jesus Christ, a task that our Lord himself referred to as an issue of not only the heart but of the mind (Matthew 22:37 NIV). Dr Barbara is a keen advocate that everything must be integrated into a whole. A Christian worldview is one’s faith expression and a way of life, pertinent to all domains of life.
